The Gitanjali Accumulation has been awarded the prestigious Helen Keller Award by State Centre for Promotion of Work for Disabled Bodies (NCPEDP) in recognition of its commitment to helping bodies with disabilities and aiding their integration into country under its Project Saksham. The award was presented to the Accumulation by Hon'ble At ease Minister, Shri. P. Chidambaram in a grand ceremony on the eve of Apple Disability Time. Gitanjali Accumulation's Saksham Initiative aims to empower Bodies With Disabilities (PWD's) buttoned up providing them experience and gainful work thus creating the conditions for integrating these individuals back in the country. The Saksham experience centre located in Hyderabad offers a six-month experience program to PWDs too as rural adolescence on the basics of jewels designing and manufacturing. The Accumulation offers free of charge boarding and address facilities for outstation participants and a token stipend for the locals. After completion of the experience and gaining some assignment familiarity in the plant, Gitanjali helps in gainful work within and out the jewel & jewels industry. Gitanjali currently employs almost 200 people with disabilities and plans to add over 1,000 disabled workers over the abutting three age at its manufacturing units. Commenting in the award, Mehul Choksi, Chairman & Managing Director of Gitanjali Accumulation, said, "This award not alone reflects the commitment of sustained excellence by our accumulation, however recognizes our steadfast efforts in helping the lesser lucky bodies and advice them alive a respectable and brighter activity." The Gitanjali Accumulation was again honoured by the Administration of India for life then"Top Employer for Bodies with Disabilities".
